Mama's Apple Crisp
3-4 pounds apples (green or red)
1 Tablespoon sugar
2/3 cup flour
3 cups brown sugar
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
1 cup butter, softened
Peel and slice the apples and arrange them in a greased 9x13 glass baking pan. Sprinkle with sugar and top with water. Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Blend in butter (mixture will become crumbly). Sprinkle crumbs over apples and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. Top warm crisps with vanilla ice cream before serving. Enjoy!
